Bhubaneswar: Two senior officers from the Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Department, Government of Odisha, are participating in the Asian Development Bank’s Water and Urban Development Forum (AWUF) 2025, being held at the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines, from May 27 to 30.

According to an official press statement, the four-day forum, themed “Valuing Water & Enhancing Liveability in Asia and the Pacific,” brings together global leaders, policymakers, and experts to deliberate on innovative and sustainable urban development practices across the region.

Representing Odisha, Debasis Singh, Additional Secretary, and Sikha Biswal, FA-cum-Additional Secretary, have joined the forum.

Notably, Singh has been invited as a speaker in a key thematic session titled “Housing for All: Transforming Lives, Economies, and Communities.” His inclusion as a panelist reflects Odisha’s growing prominence in the domain of inclusive housing and urban transformation.

Their participation underscores the state’s commitment to aligning with global best practices in water management, urban governance, and sustainable housing.
