Two Pedestrians Among Three Killed As Car Hits From Behind Near Pipili

Bhubaneswar:  A gruesome road accident near CIFA on the Bhubaneswar-Puri National Highway during a morning walk claimed the lives of three persons, including two women and a car driver on Monday morning.

According to reports, two women were killed after being hit by a speeding car from behind while they were out on a morning walk. The car after hitting the women lost control and crashed into an electric pole. It plunged into a nearby drain. As a result, the driver died on the very spot and another occupant was seriously injured.

Upon being informed, Pipili fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the driver’s body from the submerged car. Pipili police are investigating the incident.
