Cuttack: A special POCSO court in Cuttack has convicted two persons, a bus driver and conductor, of raping and murdering a minor girl in Banki of Cuttack.
The court sentenced driver Satya Sahu and conductor Bibhuti Rout to life imprisonment.
Satya Sahu, the bus driver, had a one-sided relationship with the minor girl. When she rejected his proposal, Sahu and conductor Bibhuti Rout brutally raped and killed her with an iron rod inside the bus. The court’s decision was based on the statements of 44 witnesses.
“The incident occurred in 2016. The court also analysed the SFSL report and call records of the girl and the bus driver, said Government lawyer Akshya Kumar Nayak.
