Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, two people were critically injured when a car collided with their bike and subsequently fell into a pond at Budhiabara village in Puri district.
According to reports, the car was traveling from Satapada towards Puri when it struck the bike, causing the car to lose control and plunge into a nearby pond. The two individuals on the bike sustained severe injuries, and locals quickly rushed to the scene to assist. They immediately took the injured individuals to the hospital for medical treatment and rescued the two occupants of the car.
Upon receiving a tip-off, police arrived at the location. Local residents handed over the two rescued individuals from the car to the police. Authorities have detained both of them and initiated an investigation into the incident.
Locals have indicated that the car’s occupants appeared to be intoxicated and were driving at high speed. Further updates on the case are awaited.
