Two Toddlers Drown In Pond In Cuttack’s Nischintakoili

Cuttack: In a tragic incident, two toddlers drowned in a pond at Ramakrushnapur village under Nischintakoili block in Cuttack district.

The victims were identified as Kameshwar Sahu (2), son of Dilip Sahu, and Bhagyalakshmi Sahu and four-year-old daughter of Balaram Sahu from Ostapur. They are both brother and sister in relation.

The incident occurred when Bhagyakilakshmi was visiting her aunt’s house in Ramakrishnapur village. The children accidentally fell into the pond and drowned.

The local police and fire brigade have been informed, and the bodies have been recovered.

The siblings were taken to Nischintakoili Community Health Centre (CHC), where doctors declared them dead.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the locality.
