Jajpur: Two siblings are feared drowned in Kharasrota river at Jokadia under Jajpur Road police limits in Jajpur district on Thursday.
According to reports, the two brothers who went missing in the Kharasrota River while bathing have been identified as Saswat Ranjan Swain (24) and Swastik Ranjan Swain (21).
Saswat and Swastik are sons of Sekhar Chandra Swain of Sivananda Nagar Colony under Jajpur Road police limits.
At around 11.00 AM Saswat and Swastik left for Jokadia on a bike to take a bath in the river Kharasrota. Parking their bike on the river bank they went to take a bath at the Indiragadia ghat. While bathing they were swept away by the strong current in the river and went missing.
Locals informed the police and later an ODRAF team reached the spot and began a search operation.
Till reports last came in they remain untraceable despite best of the best efforts by ODRAF personnel.
