Bhubaneswar: Two teachers from Odisha have been selected for the National Teachers Awards by the Central government.
As per the list released by the Ministry of Education on Tuesday, Santosh Kumar Kar of Jaydurga High School at Narla in Kalahandi and Dwiti Chandra Sahu of Government High School at Bilesu in Rayagada district will receive the covetous honour that will be presented on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5 at New Delhi.
As many as 50 teachers from different States have been selected to receive the honour this year. The award comprises of a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs. 50,000 and a silver medal.
