Two Teenagers Killed In Bike Accident In Mayurbhanj

Baripada: A tragic accident claimed the lives of two minor friends in Mayurbhanj district.

Subham Naik (17) and Rakesh Naik (17), both residents of Bangiriposhi area, died on the spot after their bike hit a tree on the roadside near Kochilaghat village under Baripada Sadar police station.

The incident occurred on Thursday when four friends had visited the scenic Lulung area at the foot of Similipal Sanctuary. While returning home, their bike lost control, and they collided with a tree, resulting in severe head injuries. Despite efforts to rush them to PRM Hospital, the two teenagers were declared dead.

A case has been registered at Baripada Sadar police station, and an autopsy has been conducted. The families of the deceased have been informed, and the police are investigating the cause of the accident.
