Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident two toddlers, aged two and one, lost their lives after falling into a well on Tuesday. The mishap was reported from Biramaharajpur in Sonepur district.
According to reports, the two-year-old daughter of Alok Mishra was playing with her paternal aunt’s one-year-old daughter. While playing the two slipped into a well in the backyard.
The family launched a frantic search for the duo and after an hour’s ordeal, they were spotted in the well. The two children were rushed to a local hospital where the doctors declared the two dead.
A pall of gloom descended on the family and the town following the mishap. Local police have registered a case and sent the bodies for autopsy.
