Sambalpur: In a tragic incident, two toddlers drowned in a pond at Kalinder village in Ward no. 9 of Rairakhol NAC in Sambalpur district on Saturday.
The deceased kids have been identified as Priyanshu Seth (3.5 yrs) and Shriyanshu Seth (2.5 yrs).
According to reports, Priyanshu and Shriyanshu’s parents Tukuna Seth and Tilottama Mirdha work at a poultry farm in Kalinder village.
In the morning while Tilottama had gone to the local market to buy vegetables and Tukuna was busy with some work in the poultry farm, Priyanshu and Shriyanshu walked over to a pond near the farm and drowned.
After returning from the market Tilottama searched for her sons in vain. Later she found Priyanshu floating in the pond. Upon further searching she also found Shriyanshu.
After rescuing them from the pond she and her husband Tukuna rushed them to Rairakhol Government Hospital. However, doctors at the hospital declared them dead.
