Sundargarh: Two transgenders died in an accident on the National Highway No. 143 near Rajamunda bypass in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Sunday early morning. According to reports, the fatal accident took place under Lahunipada police limits in the district.
It is worth mentioning that, on Saturday night two transgender persons, Ratha Kisan and Raja Patra, had an argument with a truck driver. Sunday morning when the two transgenders were returning home on a two-wheeler, they were allegedly crushed to death by a speeding Hyva driven by the truck driver who had an argument with the victims last night. Both of transgenders died on the spot.
The driver of the Hyva fled the spot after the accident.
On being informed, police sent the bodies for postmortem and launched an investigation into the incident. The police have found that the killer Hyva did not have proper insurance papers.
