Bhubaneswar: Two wagons of a goods train derailed on Saturday morning on the Howrah–Nagpur–Mumbai Upline near Bondamunda in Sundargarh district.
According to reports, the train, running from Bondamunda towards Rourkela, went off the tracks at around 7:45 a.m. near Bondamunda K-cabin.
Following the incident, railway officials, engineers, and carriage-and-wagon staff rushed to the site and began restoration work to re-rail the wagons and clear the track.
Railway authorities said updates on train movements and the estimated timeline for restoration would be shared soon.
