Two Women Arrested For Fraud In Mineral Transportation Sector In Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: Two women were arrested by Balimi police in Dhenkanal for multi-crores fraud in mineral transportation sector

The accused were identified as Santoshi Mohanty and Rashmita Jena who operated a transport agency and embezzled high-value materials like iron pellets during transit from Dhenkanal to Paradip.

Following multiple complaints, police started investigation and found d a well-organized scam with systematic siphoning of valuable goods. Two separate cases were registered at Balimi police station, and as the probe progressed, more details came out.

Santoshi Mohanty, a resident of the Talcher region, and her associate Rashmita Jena were tracked down by police and arrested. They were produced before the court, and police believe more people’s involvement in the fraud.

The police are conducting further investigations to identify additional culprits and recover stolen materials.

Superintendent of Police, Abhinav Sonkar said that the accused are currently in judicial custody. If needed, they would be brought on remand for further investigation.
