Jajpur: At just two years of age, little Riyanshree from Byasanagar in Jajpur district has carved her name into the India Book of Records (IBR), astonishing many with her exceptional memory and learning abilities.
The daughter of Prashant Kumar Jena, a loco pilot at Jakhapura Railway Station, and homemaker Nivedita Jena, Riyanshree has consistently impressed her family with her grasp of knowledge far beyond her years. Her parents carefully recorded videos of her activities and submitted them to the India Book of Records, which, after evaluation, declared her an ‘IBR Achiever’ and presented her with a certificate.
The citation notes that Riyanshree can identify all 26 letters of the English alphabet, recite two shlokas and five poems, and name the 12 months of the year and the seven days of the week. She also surprised evaluators by naming 25 Indian states, the four cardinal directions, and pointing out body parts, colours, images, shapes, and fruits with confidence. Beyond this, she has shown the ability to recognize different animals, reptiles, and even vehicles—demonstrating a range of knowledge unusual for her age.
Currently enrolled at Tender Heart, a private school in Jajpur Road, Riyanshree belongs to a family originally from Daneipur in Singla Panchayat of Basta Block, Balasore district. Her achievement has become a source of pride not just for her parents but also for her community, with many hailing her as an inspiration and a child prodigy.
