Two Youths Killed, Two Others Critical After Motorbike Accident In Balasore

Balasore: Two youths were killed, while two others critically injured when the motorbike they were riding met with an accident near Gujuri Bazar petrol pump under Balasore Sadar police limits in Odisha on Wednesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Vikas Murmu of Kashima Badr and Bapi Murmu of Gujuri Bazar, while Anant Majhi and Rahul Majhi of Karanjia sustained critical injuries and have been admitted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

According to reports, the accident occurred when four youths traveling on a bike suddenly lost control of the vehicle and crashed against a culvert. As a result, two youths died on the spot. The injured were rescued by passers-by and rushed to hospital.

On being informed, police reached the spot, sent the bodies for postmortem. Police have recovered some weapons from a bag belonging to the youths and launched an investigation into the matter. The four youths were allegedly in an inebriated state.
