Two Youths Swept Away While Bathing In Ib River In Sundergarh

Sundergarh: In a shocking incident, two youths were swept away by the strong current of the Ib River while bathing at the tourist spot of Ghoghar in Balishankara under Talasara police station in Sundergarh.

The incident involved three friends, Jayanarayan Patra, Roshan Paswan, and Akash Sahu, from Gobindpur police station area of Sambalpur district, who had visited the spot.

According to reports, the three friends slipped while swimming in the river and were swept away by the powerful current. Fortunately, Akash Sahu, who knew how to swim, managed to swim back to safety. However, Roshan and Jayanarayan were carried away by the river and are currently missing.

The Balishankara Fire Department has responded to the situation and is conducting rescue operations to locate the missing youths.
