Bhubaneswar: There seems to be no respite from severe cold wave conditions in Odisha, with the Similipal Tiger Reserve’s Upper Baraha Kamuda (UBK) area hitting -1°C.
According to reports, other areas in the region experienced the chill, with Chahala at 3°C, Barehipani at 4°C, Gurguria at 1°C, Ramatirtha at 8°C, Satkosia at 9°C, and Kiajhari at 9°C. The Similipal Tiger Reserve authorities have confirmed the temperature readings.
The harsh weather conditions have disrupted daily life, with residents struggling to cope with the freezing temperatures.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of continued cold wave conditions in several districts, including Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Cuttack, Khurda, and Angul.
