Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education Department has announced an early start to the registration process for graduate and postgraduate courses for the academic session 2026-27. As part of the initiative, classroom teaching is set to begin from July 10, with examinations to be conducted by April 30 and results declared by June 1.
The department has directed Regional Directors of Education to update the master database for admissions into PG courses by February 24. The move aims to facilitate a smooth admission process through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
Odisha students can apply to various central universities, and the updated information will be reflected in the Common Application Form (CAF) and SAMS portal. Colleges upgrading to Aided or Block Grant status must update their SAMS Code and login credentials.
The early start aims to streamline the admission process, ensuring timely commencement of classes.
