Bhubaneswar: In view of the upcoming urban local body polls, the State Election Commission has directed Collectors to impose restrictions on sale of liquor for four days.
According to a letter issued by the SEC to Collectors, sale of liquor will be stopped from 5 pm on March 22 to March 26. This restriction applies on retail shops, restaurants, hotels and clubs.
The Excise, Police and Forest departments’ personnel have been asked by the SEC to intensify enforcement and check storage and sale of liquor.
