Bargarh: An undertrial prisoner lodged in Bargarh Sub-Jail died under mysterious conditions in Bargarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on Wednesday.
According to reports, Shiv Bagh, a resident of Jhikikhiki village under Bhatla police limits in Odisha’s Bargarh district the main accused in a murder case was lodged in Bargah Sub-Jail. Bagh and his accomplices were accused of killing four persons in Jhikijhiki village on May 23 this year.
On Wednesday at around 6.25 pm, two staff of Bargarh Sub-Jail brought an ‘ailing’ Bagh to the Bargarh DHH for treatment, but the doctors at the health facility declared him ‘brought dead’.
Doctors are yet to ascertain the precise reason for Bagh’s death.
His body has been kept in the hospital morgue for post-mortem.
