Sundargarh: Arjun Munda, an undertrial prisoner charged with murder, escaped from a hospital in Odisha’s Sundargarh where he was undergoing treatment following a minor operation.
According to reports, Munda was charged with murder under Bhasma police limits in Sundargarh district and was admitted to the Sundargarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on Friday. He underwent a minor operation on the same day and was recuperating slowly. Around 2 am on Monday, he hoodwinked the police personnel in charge of guarding him and fled from the prisoner ward of the hospital.
The prison authorities have complained to the Sundargarh Town Police station following which a manhunt has been launched to nab the prisoner.
