Bhubaneswar: In a gruesome incident, unidentified miscreants broke into one Mania Biswal’s house in Ogarpur village under Balikuda police limits in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district on Monday late at night and attacked her, her son Silu, and daughter-in-law.
The miscreants brutally thrashed the three members of the family killing Mania Biswal, while her son Silu and daughter-in-law sustained critical injuries.
On being informed Balikuda police arrived at the village and sent Mania Biswal’s body for post-mortem, while Silu and his wife have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The condition of both is said to be critical.
According to reports, a few days ago Silu had married a girl against the wishes of her family. Angered over the developments, the girl’s family allegedly hired goons to threaten Silu and his family.
Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation into the crime.
