Balasore: Mystery shrouds the death of an unidentified man after he was found hanging under mysterious circumstances at a hospital in Balasore’s Soro on Saturday morning.
As per reports, the body of the deceased was found hanging with a towel from the pipe of the fire system near the staircase on the first floor of the newly constructed Woman and Child Care ward. Some people at the hospital first spotted the man hanging from the pipe. Later, the hospital administration informed Soro Police.
Police launched an investigation into the matter after reaching the spot.
As the man’s feet were touching the ground, it is suspected that either he might have killed himself or he could have been murdered and hanged from the railing afterward.
While the man’s identity is yet to be found out, as per security guards at the hospital, they had seen him wandering in the hospital premises till late at night on Friday.
A few days earlier, the man reportedly barged into a person’s house in the Badakhuri area. Upon receiving a complaint, police detained the man and admitted him to the hospital for treatment as he suffered an injury in his leg.
Though the man’s identity is yet to be revealed, sources informed that he could be a resident of West Bengal.
