Bolangir:  Unidentified miscreants carrying deadly weapons allegedly vandalised four trucks and looted cash and valuables from the drivers of the vehicles near Sriram village under Sindhekela police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the trucks were parked near the Sriram village on the Bhawanipatna-Khariar state highway late on Tuesday night. The miscreants brandished sharp weapons and threatened the drivers to hand over all cash and valuables to them. The robbers fled the area soon after committing the crime.

On being informed, the Sarpanch of Jamkhunta Uddhab Behera alerted the police about the looting. Soon, a team of a police team from Sindhekela police station reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
