Sonepur: The body of an unidentified youth was found lying near a pond at Rathapur Square on Biramaharajpur-Sonepur Road in Subarnapur district on Saturday.
Police believe the victim was likely murdered elsewhere and dumped at the location to conceal the crime. The gruesome nature of the crime has sparked widespread concern, drawing large crowds to the scene. The body, bearing severe head injuries and signs of mutilation, including a severed private part, suggests foul play.
Meanwhile, Biramaharajpur police have launched an investigation to identify the victim and track down the culprits.
