Bhubaneswar: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha, visited Puri Srimandir on Thursday to offer her prayers to Lord Jagannath and his siblings.
The Finance Minister was accompanied by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra.
As per an official release, Sithraman is scheduled to participate in a number of programmes in Puri and Bhubaneswar today. She will take part in a sand art session on ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ by sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik and also participate in a plantation drive at Puri. Thereafter, she will visit the birthplace of noted freedom fighter Saheed Jayee Rajguru.
On her return to Bhubaneswar, Sitharaman will attend the inauguration of the 20th National CA Conference in the state capital.
