Bhubaneswar: Union Health Minister and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda is visiting Odisha today. During his visit, he is scheduled to attend a National Health Mission programme in Puri.
As per reports, Nadda is scheduled to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 7:55 pm today and proceed to Puri, where he will spend the night.
Nadda will participate in the national health summit at 10:00 am in Puri tomorrow. He will also visit the Jagannath temple at 2:00 pm. Later, he will return to Bhubaneswar and rest at the State Guest House for a few hours before departing for Delhi in the evening.
The Union Health Minister will also release the report of the 16th Common Review Mission during the health summit. The mission aims to review the progress of the National Health Mission and identify areas for improvement.
Nadda’s visit to Odisha assumes significance, as the state has been making rapid strides in the health sector. This will be Nadda’s second visit to Odisha in recent times. Earlier, Nadda visited the state on September 26 last year.
It is learnt that Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling will also attend the programme in Puri, where various state health secretaries will also be present. During this event, the Union Health Minister will discuss various topics with the secretaries.
