**Konark:** On the remarkable 83rd Utkal Divas (#UtkalaDibasa) Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the ‘Nua Odisha Nirmana Abhijan’ at the Chandrabhaga sea beach here of Puri district on Sunday.
The event was organized a social organization called ‘Prachi Trust’.
At around 5pm, more than a thousand youths gathered on the Chandrabhaga sea beach and pledged before the rising Sun on a new rising day to work for formation, development and betterment of Odisha.
After worshipping the Sun (god), Upendra Maharana, the successor of Bisu Maharana and Dharama, who relate to the great heritage and history of the Konark Sun temple administered oath to the youths on the occasion.
During the ‘Nua Odisha Nirmana Abhijan’, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the success of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be incomplete if Konark, Puri, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Sundergarh and Bolangir among others will not set a cleaning. He further said that cleanliness should be a social responsibility for everyone.
Pointing at the health condition of the children in about 20 districts of Odisha, the union minister shared that the situation is alarming due to malnutrition. He stressed that the youths of the state has to take charge of the 45 lakh odd youths of the state who are needed to be guided to fight against the evils of the society.
