Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Steel Ram Chandra Prasad Singh called on Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
Singh met Patnaik at the latter’s residence Naveen Nivas.
The Union Minister presented the Chief Minister with pictures of Rourkela Steel Plant’s association with the latter’s father, the legendary Biju Patnaik framed in one.
On the other hand, Patnaik presented Singh with a jersey of Hockey India.
“Glad to meet Union Minister for Steel Shri @RCP_Singh. Had a fruitful discussion on the development of steel industries in the state to realise Odisha’s vision to become the steel hub of India, leveraging its rich mineral resources,” said Patnaik in a tweet later in the evening on his meeting with Singh.
Similarly, “Met with the Hon’ble CM of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik ji. Discussed about the development of steel sector in the state of Odisha. Rourkela Steel plant will be expanded which will create economic and employment opportunities in the state,” said Singh in a tweet after his meeting with the Odisha Chief Minister.
