Unlock 3.0: Strict Enforcement In Cuttack As Markets Open

Cuttack: DCP Prateek Singh today held a meeting with market committees in which a message was sent to shopkeepers to ensure strict adherance of COVID-19 guidlines. Mask-wearing and social distancing is a must and every shopkeeper should ensure these norms on their premises, he said.

“If we spot any violation, the shop will be sealed and the public will be fined. Joint teams of the police and Cuttack Municipal Corporation will carry out enforcement. These teams will be deployed in each police station level,” said Singh.

Calibrated easing of restrictions will begin as Unlock 3.0 has set in. The Government has allowed shops and markets to open but people need to follow guidelines. We need to restrict shopping activities and avoid moving out unless there is a genuine reason, the DCP said.

Night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am will be enforced very strictly. The public is advised to stay indoors during this period. Only medical cases and emergencies will be allowed during the night curfew hours.
