Bhubaneswar: A day after the Centre announced regulations for Unlock 5.0, Odisha Government came up with detailed guidelines to reopen the State amid COVID-19, for the period October 1 to October 31.
According to the order issued by the Special Relief Commissioner’s office, lockdown shall be imposed in containment zones in Odisha during the aforesaid period. Only essential activities will be allowed in the cotainment zones.
The order further stated that schools, colleges and educational institutions will remain closed till October 31. The same stricture applies to cinema halls and swimming pools across the State. Conduct of examinations and entrance tests, and evaluation and administrative works will be permitted at educational institutions.
Similarly, religious places and places of worship for public will remain closed in Odisha till October 31. “Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious functions and other large congregations will remain prohibited till October 31,” the order further stated.
