Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today issued its Unlock-8 guidelines for the month of January.
As per the new guidelines issued by the Office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) cinema halls, theatres shall be allowed to open in with up to 50% of capacity and operate as per SOP issued by the Government of India/ State Government in that regard in areas outside containment zones.
Open Air Theatres/ Jatras/ Entertainment Parks shall be permitted by the local authorities (District Magistrate/ Municipal Commissioner or officers authorized by them) to open subject to compliance of safety protocols such as mandatory wearing of face masks, physical distancing, etc.
Social/ religious/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural functions and gatherings shall be allowed with a ceiling of 200 persons subject to the following conditions:
a. In closed spaces, a maximum of 50% of the hall capacity will be allowed subject to the above ceiling.
b. In open spaces, keeping the size of the ground/ open space in view, appropriate number of persons will be allowed, within the ceiling prescribed above, so as to ensure maintenance of prescribed physical distancing norm.
c. Wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and provision of thermal scanning & use of hand wash or sanitizer will be mandatory.
d. Permission for such functions/ gatherings shall be accorded by the respective District Magistrates/ Municipal Commissioners or other officers authorised by them. Provided that the respective District Collector/ Municipal Commissioner may further restrict the number of persons to be allowed in such functions/ gatherings keeping the local situation in mind in the interest of the health of the people and issue specific order in that regard.
Marriage related gatherings shall be allowed with a ceiling of 200 persons and funeral/ last rites related gatherings with a ceiling of 100 persons, subject to the following conditions:
a. In closed spaces, a maximum of 50% of the hall capacity will be allowed subject to the above ceilings.
b. In open spaces, keeping the size of the ground/ open space in view, appropriate number of persons will be allowed, subject to the above ceilings, so as to ensure maintenance of prescribed physical distancing norm.
c. Wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and provision of thermal scanning & use of hand wash or sanitizer will be mandatory.
Swimming Pools owned and controlled by Government/ recognized by the Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha are permitted to open for training of sports persons as per SOP issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GoI. Opening/ use of other swimming pools shall continue to remain prohibited.
International air travel of passengers, except as permitted by MHA will continue to remain closed till January 31, 2021.
