Bhubaneswar: The Gopabandhu Academy of Administration (GAA) led by Director General Raj Kumar Sharma has extended support to UPSC aspirants from Odisha by initiating a Mock Interview Cell in the administrative building of the academy.
The Mock Interview Cell was inaugurated by Sharma today in the presence of Joint Secretary Manish Agrawal, Deputy DG, Pratap Kumar Mishra, Additional Commissioner Himansu Bhushan Panda, Additional Director Bibhuti Bhusan Mishra and others officials.
Initially, seven UPSC aspirants who have qualified Mains joined online, followed by four others. The Mock Interview cell of the academy started on January 9, 2023, with the experience shared by Prathamesh, IAS (P), 2021 batch and Rina Pradhan, IAS (P), 2021 with the UPSC aspirants joined online.
The Mock Interview was organized under the expert panel members of Aurobindo Behera, Saswat Mishra, Akhil Bihari Ota, Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, and Prof KVD Prakash, Dean-IIE and HRD, Centurion University, online as well as physical mode.
Till date, four Mock Interviews have been conducted under the guidance of eminent bureaucrats and academicians. Besides, a number of sessions on current affairs, history and culture of Odisha have been taken by experts.
The aspirants said that it was a great initiative by Odisha Government and hoped that it would continue every year and get institutionalized.
