Sundergarh: Gourab Agarwal of Sundergarh has made the town and his State proud. The youth, in his second attempt cracked the UPSC ranking 86 in the coveted list. The results of the UPSC were announced on Monday.
Agarwal wishes to join the Indian Foreign Service, and believes with his rank, he would be able to make it to the IFS this year. “My objective will be to address developmental needs of the people and make their voices reach the Government,” he said.
Speaking to a posse of scribes after the results were announced, Agarwal attributed his success to the blessings of his family and hardwork. “I used to study 10 to 12 hours a day, for the last 3 years. I started preparing in 2019, and this is my second attempt.”
In a message to his youngers, Agarwal advised not to lose hope and be focussed. “Failures will come, but those should not deter us. Be focused and dedicated. If I can do it, I believe anyone can,” the youth added.
