Bhubaneswar: The State Government has declared a holiday for employees of State Government offices and Executive Magisterial Courts on Polling Day (March 24).
The elections to urban local bodies across the State are scheduled on March 24, in 3 Municipal Corporations and 106 Municipalities/NACs.
The decision has been taken by the Government to enable employees to exercise their franchise, a notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department stated.
Besides, the Orissa High Court will also remain closed on the polling day, reports stated.
