Bhubaneswar: Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and Commerce and Transport Department, Usha Padhee, embarked on a two-day visit to Jagatsinghpur district, with the aim of reviewing development works and interacting with local communities. On the first day of her visit, she visited Bayan Gram and Amrita Dairy Farm in Raghunathpur block in Jagatsinghpur.
At Bayan Gram, Padhee interacted with local artisans, inquiring about their facilities and problems. She also sought to understand their needs and challenges, providing guidance on how to improve their livelihoods. Similarly, at Amrita Dairy Farm, she interacted with Self-Help Group (SHG) women, advising them to become self-reliant and exploring ways to enhance their economic independence.
The Principal Secretary’s visit was attended by District Collector J. Sonal, Additional District Collector Sambit Kumar Rout, District Council Chief Development and Executive Officer Ravi Narayan Jethi, B.D.O Raghunathpur, and DPC Mission Shakti, among others.
On the second day of her visit, Padhee is scheduled to visit Paradip port and the Municipal Council in the morning. In the afternoon, she will review various development works of the district with district-level officers at the Collector’s office. The review meeting aims to assess the progress of ongoing projects and identify areas for improvement.
