Bargarh: An undertrial prisoner committed suicide by hanging himself with a towel inside the toilet of Sohela Sub Jail in Bargarh district on Tuesday.
The deceased identified as Manmohan (26) had been arrested on charges of murdering his wife and had been lodged at Sub Jail, Sohela on May 7.
Today at around 4 am, he went to the toilet inside the Sub Jail and hanged himself. He was later rushed to the nearest hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
After receiving an FIR in this regard from the jail authorities, Sohela Police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
