Soro: An undertrial prisoner allegedly escaped from Soro Sub-Jail in Balasore district on Sunday by jumping over the boundary wall.
The accused has been identified as Satyajit Mallick of Bideipur in Bhadrak district.
He had been arrested by Kasia Marine Police in Bhadrak on charges of theft and had been recently transferred to Soro Sub-Jail.
After unable to trace Mallick, the jail authorities lodged a complaint in this regard at Soro Police Station.
