Bhubaneswar: In a significant move, seasoned IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav has been appointed as the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his appointment.
Yadav, a 1996-batch IAS officer, has served Odisha with distinction, leaving an indelible mark on the state’s infrastructure development as Works Secretary.
Yadav had earlier held the post of Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), where he spearheaded the Parikrama Prakalp yojana, a visionary project that transformed the temple’s surroundings.
That apart, Yadav’s administrative experience spans multiple critical domains, including his tenure as Food and Supplies and Cooperation Secretary, where he played a pivotal role in ensuring the state’s food security and strengthening cooperative frameworks.
