Bhubaneswar: Union Communications Minister Aswini Vaishnaw today released five Commemorative Postage Stamps on legendry poets of Odisha Bhima Bhoi and Gangadhar Meher and Cultural Heritage of Western Odisha through video conferencing from Bhubaneswar.
He also inaugurated 42 Branch Post Offices of seven districts of Western Odisha. Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan graced the function at Biju Patnaik Auditorium in Sambalpur University, Burla during releasing of Postage Stamps and the inauguration of Post Offices.
On the occasion, Pradhan said that the India Post gave a befitting tribute to the great poet Gangadhar Meher ahead of his birth centenary.
Pradhan also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Communication Minister Aswini Vaishnaw for releasing a commemorative postage stamp of Bhima Bhoi, the great poet and preacher of Mahima cult.
