Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials today apprehended Sunanda Das, CDPO, Bhadrak along with Sulochana Behera, Supervisor, ICDS, Bhadrak while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 through Sulochana Behera, Supervisor, ICDS, Bhadrak in lieu of appointment of her relative as Anganwadi Worker, said an official press release issued here today.
The entire bribe money of Rs 10,000 has been recovered from the possession of Supervisor Behera and seized, the release stated.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Das, CDPO and two locations of Behera, Supervisor respectively from disproportionate assets (DA) angle, the release added.
A case has been registered at Balasore Vigilance Police Station in this connection under section 7 of the P C (Amendment) Act, 2018. An investigation is in progress against accused persons Das, CDPO and Behera, Supervisor, the release further stated.
