Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths arrested Rebati Raman Joshi, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) of Hirakud Wildlife Division in Sambalpur for possessing disproportionate assets.
During raids on ACF’s properties, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets comprising three buildings including 1 triple storeyed building in Sambalpur town worth approximately Rs.1.80 crore, four flats including one flat in Bhubaneswar and three flats in Sambalpur town, 7 plots, cash Rs 14.71 lakhs.
He was arrested because he was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the possession of disproportionate assets, including the source of his wealth and the legitimacy of his financial transactions.
Joshi will be forwarded to court today. A case has been registered against him at Sambalpur Vigilance PS (Case No. 28/2024), and the investigation is ongoing.
