Bhubaneswar: The State Vigilance on Tuesday arrested an Assistant Executive Engineer of the R&B Division, Ajaya Kumar Mishra in a case of disproportionate assets.
Mishra was booked under multiple Sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and produced before Special Judge Vigilance, Dhenkanal who remanded him in judicial custody till March 28.
Cuttack Vigilance Division has registered a case in this connection and named Mishra and his wife in the FIR, reports stated.
Earlier on Monday, the anti corruption agency had carried out raids at six places in Khurda, Angul and Dhenkanal to unearth the assets owned by Mishra and his family.
“After thorough search, Mishra was found in possession of disproportionate assets which constituted 293% of his known sources of income. Investigation of the case is in progress,” the Vigilance said.
