Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths today launched simultaneous searches at six different locations linked to Rajesh Chandra Mohanty, Additional Chief Engineer of Central Irrigation Circle, on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
Acting on specific information, teams led by one Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP), 11 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), nine Inspectors, eight Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff are conducting the raids based on search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge in Cuttack.
The searches are underway at the following places including residential triple-storeyed building located at Plot No. 210-B, Baramunda Housing Board Colony, Lane-8 in Bhubaneswar, Paternal house at Kolhasingh village under Badachana police station in Jajpur, house of a relative at Deula Sahi at Jubilee Town in Dhenkanal, Office chamber of Mohanty, double-storeyed building and farmhouse over Plot Nos 610, 611, 609 & 606 at Bimbol, Bhapur in Dhenkanal, house of a close associate at Nayabazar under Chauliaganj PS in Cuttack.
The raids are continuing, and a detailed assessment of movable and immovable properties, documents, and other assets is in progress. Further developments and recovery details are expected shortly.
