Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance launched simultaneous searches at eight locations linked to Surendra Tanti, ARI-cum-In-charge RI of Kumuli Circle under Boriguma Tahsil in Koraput district. The raids are being carried out on allegations of Tanti possessing disproportionate assets (DA) compared to his known sources of income.
A team of Odisha Vigilance officials, led by 3 DSPs, 7 Inspectors, 5 ASIs, and other supporting staff, is conducting the searches. The raids are being carried out at a double-storeyed building at Boriguma, a rented residential house of his daughter at Boriguma, a house in his native village Ranaspur, and a house of his relative at Vill. Kamta under Boriguma police limits, a two-storeyed building of his relative at Boriguma, a two-storeyed market complex at Boriguma, his building at Boriguma, his office chamber at Kumuli, Boriguma.
The searches are being conducted on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Jeypore. The raids are currently underway, and further updates are expected soon.
