Bhubaneswar: Vigilance has unearthed a vast array of assets linked to Golap Chandra Hansdah, Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) in Boudh district. The searches, conducted across multiple locations, have revealed properties and assets worth crores.
The assets uncovered include a double-storeyed building measuring approximately 3300 square feet in Prafulla Nagar, Baripada, and 36 high-value plots in and around Baripada town and Sribantpur in Balasore. The valuation and measurement of these properties are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
In addition to the immovable properties, the searches have yielded cash amounting to Rs. 2,38,725, bank and postal deposits worth Rs. 56 lakhs, and gold jewellery weighing approximately 250 grams and silver ornaments weighing 400 grams. It has also been found that Rs. 40 lakhs were spent on the medical education of Hansdah’s daughter.
The Vigilance team has also seized one four-wheeler (Hyundai Creta) and three two-wheelers. The searches are still ongoing, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the extent of Hansdah’s assets.
