Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday intercepted Sekharlal Kumar Sahu, Senior Assistant in the office of ADPHO(FW), Keonjhar in front of Ajanta Hotel, Keonjhar, while he was coming from the office of ADPHO(FW) and seized suspected ill-gotten cash of Rs 2,80,000 from his possession, according to an official press release.
As Sahu could not explain satisfactorily, the amount was recovered from him and seized.
Following the interception, searches by the anti-corruption agency are underway at locations linked to him from disproportionate assets (DA) angle. He is being examined to ascertain the source of funds.
