Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Saturday intercepted Bijay Kumar Behuria MVI, Nuapada near Khordha Hospital Square while he was proceeding to Bhubaneswar from Nuapada in a private vehicle. Suspected ill-gotten cash amounting to Rs1.32 lakh found in his possession.
According to an official press release, as Behuria could not explain satisfactorily, the cash was recovered and seized from him. Besides, cash the vehicle was also seized.
Following interception, search is underway at five locations of Behuria from disproportionate assets (DA) angle. Further, he is being examined to ascertain the source of the funds.
