Bhubaneswar: A team of Vigilance officials intercepted Superintending Engineer Sahadev Kisan of the Public Health department, Rayagada, on Wednesday. The interception occurred when Kisan was travelling from his office to his government quarter in a Scorpio vehicle.
During the operation, the vigilance team found suspected ill-gotten cash amounting to Rs. 1,50,000, which Kisan failed to account for satisfactorily.
Consequently, the cash was seized. Following the seizure, searches are being conducted at two locations linked to Kisan as part of a Disproportionate Assets (DA) angle investigation. Kisan is currently being examined to determine the source of the funds.
