Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths unearthed a vast array of assets during searches at seven locations linked to Debasis Sahoo, Assistant Project Manager of the Orissa Water Supply & Sewerage Board (OWSSB) in Bhubaneswar.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sahoo and his family members:
- A 6,300 sqft double-storeyed building at College Road, Jatni, Khordha
- A 250 sqft double-storeyed building at Sardar Patel Marg, Jatni, Khordha
- A 4,800 sqft triple-storeyed building (under construction) at Sardar Patel Marg, Jatni, Khordha
- Two shops totalling 500 sqft at Banadurga Market Complex, Jatni, Khordha
- A 5,000 sqft plot in Bhubaneswar (Sarakantana, Ranasinghpur)
- A 0.115-acre plot in Jatni (near Laxmi Art, Sardar Patel Marg)
- Gold ornaments weighing 230 grams
- 1,55,540 in cash
- Bank deposits over Rs.20.56 lakhs. Other deposits are being ascertained.
- Three two-wheelers.
The Vigilance Technical Wing is currently assessing the value of these assets. This raid is part of an ongoing investigation into disproportionate assets accumulated by Sahoo.
